1. Presidential Decree No. 5 of 1997 on ratification of the Convention on the Registration of Objects Launched into the Outer Space.
2. Indonesia space law Number 21 of 2013 on space activities, at article 71 confirms that any spacecraft launched from the territory of sovereignty and territorial jurisdiction of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia or launched in the territory of another country by government agencies, legal entities or citizens of Indonesia shall be registered to the Institute (LAPAN).
3. Regulation of the head of LAPAN No.8 of 2015 on Organization of Administration of National Institute of Aeronautics and Space, article 159 mention that LAPAN establishes Center for Information Technology and Aerospace Standard which one of its duty is to coordinate the registration of space object nationally.

MILESTONES OF LAPAN MICRO SATELLITES
Since 2003, LAPAN has been tried to establish the satellite program through small satellite (nano and micro satellite program). on 2005 developed first micro satellite by doing collaboration with TU-Berlin and launch the LAPAN-TUBSAT micro satellite to polar orbit that launched by India PSLV on Feb 2007 for doing mission on technology demonstration. The satellite in orbit operation since 2007 for getting payload data. After 5 years it is found that performance gradation happen at payload system but satellite still able to be controlled until now.
By using the same proven satellite platform, LAPAN built the second micro satellite name LAPAN-A2 for earth surveillance, maritime security (shipping monitoring) and establish the amateur communication.
Starting the imagery satellite project, LAPAN built the first imagery micro satellite experiment for monitoring the crop, paddy field and Forrest. LAPAN-A3 using imagery push broom multi spectral camera.
